Once Derided, Bihar’s Police Become Model for Other States

Years ago, the idea that anyone would look to the Bihar police for advice on catching criminals would have been laughable. The northern Indian state, traditionally one of India’s poorest, was notorious for its widespread organized crime, often referred to as the “jungle raj,” and nearly invisible police presence.







But last month, the top police officials for all of India’s states met and passed a resolution to adopt the Bihar police force’s model of scientific investigations and speedy trials in their respective states.

MoU with Oil India for Abhayanand Super30 centres in North East

Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership - CSRL signed an MoU with Oil India Limited for Abhayanand Super 30 centres at Guwahati, Jorhat and Dibrugarh. With generous monetary support from Oil India Limited, these centres will give free JEE coaching to 30 financially humble but talented students from North-East. Each centre will admit 30 students. IPS Abhayanand will be the academic mentor of the whole programme.

OIL India started the journey in 2010 with the opening of OIL India Super 30 at Guwahati. With the success of Guwahati Centre in 2010-2011, CSRL opened another centre in Jorhat in 2011 with the support of OIL. This year another centre will come up in Dibrugarh.

Abhayanand wishes for the best of JEE aspirants all over the Nation


Super 30 is indeed his first love and Super30ians his first preference! However, he is all for the good of the society at large. Hence, Abhayanand wishes for the best of all JEE aspirants. His advise to all of them is to be calm and determined.

Students at various Abhayanand Super 30 centres (managed by CSRL) have their fingers crossed in anticipation. They are all hopeful and nervous at the same time!
